Windows 10 nearing retirement
Support for Windows 10 will end in October 2025
Released in July 2015, Windows 10 has been hugely successful for Microsoft, after 10 years it's still the worlds most commonly used desktop operating system.
Windows 10 is set to reach its end of life on October 14, 2025. After that, Microsoft won't be providing any more updates or security patches for it. Your computer will still work, but it's likely to become vulnerable to security threats and software issues.
What are my options?
In October 2021 Microsoft launched Windows 11 - faster and more secure than it's predecessor. This was offered as a free upgrade to existing Windows 10 users. However, to improve security Windows 11 does have a stricter hardware requirement meaning that it cannot be installed on some older computers.
Storm IT can audit your existing hardware and software and provide you with solutions to smoothly move your business to Windows 11.
